How Meditating Helped Me

I relax in an empty room, sitting on the floor with my legs crossed inhaling and exhaling. Who knew such a simple, yet powerful thing could change my life?

I basically focus 110% of my attention on one area; it increases my concentration, decreases my anxiety and gives me a general feeling of happiness and clarity.  I totally recommend meditating and sticking with it for the long term, honestly it’s an amazing thing. Starting with the breathing alone can help you in many ways, this is because it slows the heart rate, relaxes the muscles and focuses the mind. Honestly, recently it has also helped me be able to sleep better. I have real issues sleeping and from trying meditating, it’s improved so much.

Not only that, meditate in a specific room in your house, not where you work, exercise or sleep as it becomes difficult to focus. Even adding candles helps you become much more peaceful. The best meditation music is most likely classical music without lyrics, that’s what I use. Even consider heading to a guided meditation class as it enables you to know the necessary procedures and steps to make the most out of this process.

Meditating is a life-long process and it will benefit most by using the daily practice. I say give it a shot and let me know what you think!
