Remember in high school when
we all got to fill out the fun career assessment test and it would tell us the
career that we were best suited for? As one who loves filling out forms, those
were always the best days in class.

But they aren’t the best to judge what would suit you as a
career. First off, you can cheat the system. I used to do it all the time. I
thought I knew what I wanted to be so I answered the questions accordingly to
get the answer that I wanted. Granted, they are handy to give ideas to jobs
that aren’t well known, or ones that you hadn’t thought of yet, but most of
these test pigeon-hole you into one general ideal.
Like
the Myers-Briggs test. One can relate with a lot of those things on either side
of the spectrum, so it isn’t fair to put you into one box.
Do you hold a lot of value in these, or do you also think that
they’re just something fun to do?
