Part of being in College is taking tests. Many of us dread it, I, however, have come to develop some good study habits that allow me to always do great on exams. Friends are always asking me what I do so I figured I’d share my test taking tips here.

One of the biggest things is time management. We all have to balance life; these are some time management tips that help me be successful:
  • ·      Make a list of everything you need to be done
  • ·      Set deadlines for each point
  • ·      Check off what’s done; it helps to visualize and motivates you when you know you’ve achieved something.

Whenever I’m in class I try to take notes. Good note taking skills are a valuable trait to have. It helps to retain information, and more importantly they’re in your own words/thoughts. That helps whenever you have short answer questions.

Lastly, use a variety of methods to study! Some ways I study are:
  • ·      Reading chapters
  • ·      Taking notes
  • ·      Look at PowerPoint’s
  • ·      Have someone quiz me

Now I can’t guarantee a good grade, but I hope these helped! Any great test-takers out there? Say hello and share your tips!
