How Saving Money Helped Me Get Through School

Being a student on a budget is tough. There is always something we want, but can’t have. But this isn’t always a bad thing. This is how saving money has helped me.

School is expensive. I think we all get that. Many of us are also working to help pay for school. I managed to pay for my schooling without government assistance by saving money. In my opinion, it seemed beneficial to pay for it now than to worry about having to pay loans with interest later.

Its not for everyone, it can be tough at times, especially if time-management isn’t one of your strongest skills.

Whenever you do get some money coming in, pay yourself first. If you put some money away right at the beginning, you avoid misspending it.

Maybe setting up a monthly budget planner is the best way to go. It can help keep you on track for whatever you need to save for.

Find different social events around campus and in your area. You don’t always have to spend money to have fun.

Keep a lookout for upcoming events at Sheridan. They’re usually free or at least cheap, fun, and a great way to meet people!
