With many students creating their own clubs, it only makes sense that with a club comes with an upcoming event.

While on campus planning an event is much easier than you think, with backing from your student union and a big fan base, anything is possible.

Although events usually mean selecting speakers and keynotes, equipment and facilities, risk assessments, refreshments and activities, it becomes much easier with the help of your school backing you whether it’s a social event or a business event.

Here are some Upcoming Event Tips to Remember:

-          Who is your audience – So what does your audience want to see or experience from this event.

-          How big do you want this event to be – If you are aiming for your social or business event to have a large response try creating a large awareness plan, posters, social media etc, will be great in terms of a great outcome.

-          What are your hoped event outcomes – When this event takes place, what do you want to happen? What is the cause of this event? Raising funds?

-          Once a decision is made, stick with it – Nothings hurts more than constantly changing the date and time of an event and having no one show up, this makes it annoying to people who want to attend. They may have taken time off to attend the date you first mentioned.
